The Dow was at 12,000. There was, at least conceptually, an investment banking industry dedicated to peddling worthless paper products to any and all who would buy it. And corporate breaks were still being described in millions.
As you can tell, we move slowly. But not so slowly that we're starting this blog at the bottom. At least, we don't think it's the bottom. It's nice to pretend it's the bottom, but it's probably not. So we're looking for a little positive reinforcement.
Are we in a depression? At the beginning of a depression? On the tail end of a recession? Feel free to share your loopiest, the-economy-is-sound fantasies with us.
